Dance recital
Dance Recital is Thursday April 7, 2011 @ Roy high school.
please be there at 6pm. Park on the east side and come in on the east side. we will be in the small auditorium. hair out of eyes and face and if you were tights please wear your ballets slippers or dance shoes or footless tights so that we don't slip.
We will then move on to cheerleading for the next three months if you do not have silver pom poms from last year we will need to order those in april they are $15 for bolth.

If your daughters uniform is to tight or little please bring it back to me I am trying to find a seamstress around
that can fix them up for us.

uniforms and competition
Uniforms should be here soon. I believe they ship out around the tenth of February.
The only classes that are doing competition is the Hotshots, Extremes, and Elites. We are registered For the Dance Spectacular Dance Nationals at Weber state Dee Event Center on April 30th. I do not know times yet. I have four girls doing solos they will be on friday April 29th.
I want to thank all of the parents who refer my name to many other parents for dance. I have had alot of calls. I am not accepting any new students until we sign up again in September. However please feel free to have them call me and I will get their name and info.

Dance Recital

If at all possible I ask that you pay $10 extra on April Tuition to help cover the cost of the theater at roy high. If you have two daughters that dance don't worry about paying for bolth $10 is fine.
It will be in the evening I booked it from 6-8pm. I will let you know what time to be there for sure when it gets a little closer.

january and competition
January Newsletter
I hope everyone had a great holiday!!
Now we are off to a new year
I hope I don't have to much information on this letter if you don't understand it or have any questions
please feel free to call me 801-940-6516
I need to know how many students would like to go to competition I am hoping everyone can go and do the team dances
there are two competitions
the first one is at Roy high school on April 2nd.
and the second is at Weber state on April 30th.
the entry form deadline for both of these dates are January 31st. So i need to know by next week what we are able to do
and then I would need the money by January 20th.
Every class has 2 dances that they can perform. and the fee for each dancer for each dance is $12 for the April 2nd date
and $13 for each dancer for each dance on the 30th.
Every dancer will receive a trophy for each dance that they perform.
If the majority of you only want to do one competition I would like to go to the April 30th date at Weber state.
Please let me know what you are able to do.
I have 5 openings for solo's, duets or trio's. I would like to start those this month and practice them up through competition.
tuition price for those are $80 I would do 20 minutes a week one on one time with you up until competition.
the prices for competition are
April 1st solos $60 duo $40 each dancer trio $35 (every dancer will receive a large trophy)
April 29th solo $65 dui $45 each dancer trio $40 each dancer. (every dancer will receive a large trophy)
there is also a cover girl competition you can enter your daughter into if you would like.
for that they would need an 8X10 photo and the entry fee is $40. if you where to win that there is a big trophy and you get your picture on the
cover of the programs.

I have ordered the uniforms and they take anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks to get here. So hopefully with in the next two months.

The christmas program at christmas village was alot of fun.. Thanks to all of you for coming out.
there will be dance for the next two weeks and then we will take a break for the holidays.
No dance From December 21st-30th.
We will start up again the first week in January.
If you have not yet paid for the uniforms I need that money soon as you can get it to me.

There will be no dance on wednesday November 24th. or thursday November 25th.
The Christmas program will be on December 2nd at 7pm please be there at 6:45.

October Newsletter
Dance Has been so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe we have all the classes set up how they need to be. Days and times should stay the same now.
On the week before halloween 26th, 27th, and 28th class times will be normal however wear your halloween costume to class we will play some games and have some treats.
Just a reminder please no gum to class. Thanks
There will be no dance on thanksgiving day. tuesday and wednesday class as normal.
I am going to try and get the uniforms all ordered at the end of October please turn in your money for uniforms by then. The uniforms will be $50
Warm ups are optional if you would like them please let me know and I will also be ordering them at the end of october
jacket and pant will be $85
jacket only will be $56

Welcome
I want to welcome everyone to dance.
The First week was alot of fun!
I am so glad to see all the returning faces and all the new faces too.
We Will be trying on Warm ups the next two weeks. If you feel these are something you would like please come in and help your daughter try them on so you know what size. (these will be optional) However the oldest class I would like to have them so we can use them as an additional uniform. I do plan on using these same warm ups for a few years as long as the company will still make them.
Shoes are optional as well. However if you do want to get some I would recommend Black Jazz Shoes.
Please remind your girls to go potty before dance, There is a bathroom upstairs they may use however it becomes fun for the little girls to all go potty and it distracts from dance class.
Please no gum, candy, or Cell Phones at dance.
Parents you are more then welcome to stay and watch if you would like. I just don't have a ton of room for the seating so sorry.
Tuition is $25 a month If you write a check make it payable to Shantel Anderson.
Our first performance will be a Christmas program at Christmas village, then we usually follow that with performing at the recreational basketball games at freemont, a recital in May and then the Fourth of July parade and performance in the park.
We will start solos and duets in January if this is something you want to do please let me know.
Competition will be new this year and it will also be optional. I do not know the fees involved with that yet.
